Programme Overview

Leadership starts at the point of self-discovery. The individual who is self-aware will make the right decisions and develop the right skills that will easily set him on the path of effective leadership. Sadly, even many adults, are still going through the process of trying to discover self with no clearly defined goals for life. This poses a challenge to the individual and the society at large as such individuals are susceptible to negative influences and decisions.

The socio economic and political environment is also affected by individuals who are yet to discover self. This group of people do not make the effort to develop their natural giftings to become superior versions of themselves, function in roles they otherwise should not be in, thereby providing suboptimal service in their places of engagement causing a ripple effect on their organizations and the larger economy. This culminates to affecting the kinds of leaders who emerge in different sectors of the economy as the resultant effects are square pegs in round holes.

The Self Discovery Leadership Programme therefore becomes very imperative as the foundation for effective leadership. The programme is targeted at teenagers so that from an early stage in their lives, they are guided to develop a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, values, innate giftings and then equipped with the tools to enhance these natural inclinations. This will lead these young people to make better decisions; have an unwavering focus to achieve their personal and academic goals, thereby reducing the likelihood of falling into the trap of negative peer pressure, but become instead a positive influence and inspiration to their peers.
