In 1992, a young visionary, Dr. Linus Okorie, sat in the quiet of his university room, troubled by a burning question: What is the greatest challenge facing Nigeria? Everywhere he looked, the answer was glaring. The streets told the story of struggling businesses and jobless graduates. The news was filled with corruption scandals, failed policies, and an unending cycle of poverty. The problem was not a lack of resources, intelligence, or potential—Nigeria had all three in abundance. The real problem was leadership.
Believing that Nigeria’s future could be rewritten through a generation of selfless, purpose-driven leaders, Guardians of the Nation International (GOTNI) was born in 1992 with a bold vision—to groom a new breed of exceptional leaders. In 2004, GOTNI was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), solidifying its place as Nigeria’s premier leadership development organization.
For over three decades, GOTNI has been at the forefront of leadership development, impacting thousands of young Nigerians through leadership summits, economic forums, mentorship programs, and specialized training. We have created platforms where young leaders engage with seasoned professionals, policymakers, and global thought leaders, ensuring that leadership excellence is not just taught but actively lived and experienced.
